AOK NordWest becomes member of InsurLab Germany
As the first statutory health insurance company in our network, we welcome AOK NordWest as a new member of InsurLab Germany as of January 1, 2019. "We are very pleased about the future cooperation and would like to contribute our know-how as a large health insurance company to this innovative network. We want to develop excellent digital processes and make use of our cross-industry expertise. We hope that this will lead to even better customer communication, optimized internal processes, and impetus for new innovative projects for the medical care of our policy holders," says Horst-Peter Hogrebe, authorized representative of the Executive Board at AOK NordWest.
Collaborations between member companies and innovative start-ups are intended to tap digital potential in fields such as customer communication digitalization (in-App messaging/chatbots), Al/Predictive Analytics (artificial intelligence/forecast algorithms) or in the area of eHealth (telemedicine/teletherapy) and shape the insurance industry of the future. "Here we would like to actively contribute our expertise and, together with the other players, actively shape digital change in the healthcare sector in a wide variety of fields. InsurLab Germany promotes the necessary digital transformation in the best possible way," says Hogrebe.
Sebastian Pitzler, Managing Director of InsurLab Germany, is also pleased with the new addition to the platform: "It is great to count AOK NordWest among our members. It is the first statutory health insurance company in our network and it brings a completely new impulse into our initiative, from which we will mutually benefit. We are looking forward to integrating AOK NordWest into our formats and offerings, and to linking it with suitable start-ups and innovative minds from our member community, as well as jointly developing innovation projects specific to health insurance companies.
In addition to network events and intensive workshops, InsurLab Germany offers its members individual match-making with the relevant start-ups, a co-working space in Cologne, and a very member-oriented accelerator programme. The second round of the program starts in May 2019.
