New member
As the first statutory health insurance company nationwide, we welcome AOK NordWest as a new member of InsurLab Germany as of January 1, 2019. "We are very excited about the future cooperation and are happy to contribute our know-how as a large health insurance company to this innovative network. We want to develop excellent digital processes and also make use of the cross-sector expertise. We hope this will lead to even better customer communication, optimized internal processes and impetus for new innovative projects for the medical care of our insured," says Horst-Peter Hogrebe, Executive Board Representative at AOK NordWest.
Collaborations between member companies and innovative startups are intended to tap digital potential, for example, in fields such as the digitization of customer communication (in-app messaging/chatbots), al/predictive analytics (artificial intelligence/forecasting algorithms) or also in the area of eHealth (telemedicine/teletherapy) and to shape the insurance industry of the future. "Here, we would like to actively contribute with our expertise and, together with the other players, actively shape the digital transformation also in the healthcare sector in the most diverse fields. InsurLab Germany promotes the digital transformation necessary for this in the best possible way," says Hogrebe.
Sebastian Pitzler, Managing Director of InsurLab Germany, is also pleased about the new addition: "It is great to be able to count AOK NordWest among our members now. As the first statutory health insurance company, it brings yet another completely new impetus to our network, from which we will mutually benefit. We are looking forward to integrating AOK NordWest into our formats and offers and to linking them with suitable startups and innovative minds from our circle of members, as well as to developing health insurance-specific innovations together."
In addition to networking events and intensive workshops, InsurLab Germany offers its members, among other things, individual match-making with startups relevant to them, a co-working space in Cologne, and a very member-oriented accelerator program. The second round of the program will start in May 2019.
