(JUNIOR) PROGRAM MANAGER (m/f/d)

InsurLab Germany e.V. is a nearly 100-member strong initiative of insurance companies, InsurTechs, industry-related service providers, science and public institutions to promote innovation and digitalization in the insurance industry. Our aim is to provide insurance companies with easy and direct access to national and international start-ups, to network them with each other to exchange experiences and to actively support them in the planning and implementation of joint projects. We therefore offer a wide range of services: from start-up scouting, match-making, a six-month collaborator program for start-ups to expert groups, events & workshops and project support. In partnership with the University of Cologne Business School, we also promote the cultural transformation of the industry with the help of our InsurLab Academy and offer the insurance industry a major stage for innovation at the international insureNXT conference, which we organize together with Koelnmesse.

As one of twelve hubs in Germany, InsurLab Germany is also part of the "de:hub" digital hub initiative set up by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and is the official competence center for the InsurTech scene in Germany.

 

 

 

To strengthen our team in Cologne we are looking for a

(Junior) Program Manager (m/f/d)

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Support in the conception & management of offer formats: You support the conception, content design and implementation of internal and external InsurLab Germany offer formats and contribute to continuous evaluation and improvement.
  • Business & Ecosystem Support: You will be involved in the strategic development of InsurLab Germany e.V.; you will help to recruit new member companies and strategic partners for our industry initiative and support existing members, start-ups, scale-ups and network partners. You will carry out market analyses to identify trends and new business opportunities.
  • Project management and assistance with program management: You will lead projects to promote innovation, digitalization and exchange of experience for our member companies or support the coordination and management of programs (e.g. Topic Groups, InsurLab Academy, insureNXT) and help with the creation of studies & white papers in cooperation with our members. You will work closely with various stakeholders and define clear project goals and milestones.
  • Change & Transformation Support: You support the development of new formats and the further development of existing formats to support our member companies in their digital and cultural transformation (e.g. topic days, interactive workshops, innovation projects). You will identify and share best practices and successful examples of transformation, including fresh start-up ideas.
  • Representation: You represent InsurLab Germany at internal and external meetups, conferences and other industry events as a contributor or participant and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.

 

What you bring with you:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • You have gained initial professional experience in the insurance industry, in project management or in a similar function.
  • You have basic knowledge in the areas of digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) as well as change management.
  • You communicate confidently in written and spoken German and English.
  • You work independently, in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
  • You are a team player and promote a positive team dynamic.
  • You have a talent for organization and assertiveness.
  • You will score extra points if you are already familiar with start-ups or have already gained some experience of collaboration between InsurTechs and insurance companies.
