On December 5, 2024, we celebrated the impressive results of our Collaborator Batch#24 at the Rotonda Business Club in Cologne. With 17 start-ups and scale-ups, 14 insurance companies and one technology company, this batch was bigger and more diverse than ever before. Together with their partners (our members) such as ALH Group, AXA, Barmenia.Gothaer, CSS, Delvag, Ecclesia Group, Gen Re, HDI, LVM, R+V, RheinLand Versicherungen, ROLAND Rechtsschutz, SAS, ÖRAG and Zurich Group Germany, the start-ups developed pioneering case solutions for key topics in the industry.
The projects presented showed the enormous range and innovative power of the collaborations. For example, R+V and DC Connected presented the digital car insurance card with the virtual technician JOY, which offers practical support in the event of a breakdown and sustainably improves the customer experience. LVM and VAARHAFT presented the AI-based 'Fraud Scanner', which optimizes the detection of falsified claims images and increases both efficiency and quality in fraud processing. Together with experial.ai, RheinLand Versicherungen optimized its data-driven market research and customer relationships in order to respond to needs at an early stage and provide targeted support for product development. Important progress was also made beyond Germany: For example, the Swiss health insurer CSS was in concrete contact with three health start-ups to evaluate a possible collaboration.
With 80 new leads, 26 projects and proofs of concept as well as two established market solutions, the Collaborator illustrates the immense potential of partnerships in our industry.
