zeb consulting has been an official member of InsurLab Germany since the beginning of January. We say: welcome! In this interview, Frank Bunselmeyer and Michael Kötting, both consultants at zeb, tell us what they hope to gain from working together in the network, what they offer their clients and what makes the company tick.
InsurLab Germany is all about cooperation and collaboration in the insurance industry. How would you like to contribute as a consulting company?
Frank Bunselmeyer: We are convinced that greater collaboration within the insurance industry is a key success factor for the future of the industry - for this reason, we are looking forward to advancing new topics together with the existing members of InsurLab. To this end, we want to openly discuss the topics of digital transformation together with other industry representatives within the framework of the diverse collaboration formats offered, in order to provide impetus from our project experience on the one hand and to be able to take away new ideas on the other.
What do you hope to get out of being a member of InsurLab Germany and what are you particularly looking forward to?
Michael Kötting: We look forward to exchanging ideas with the other members so that we can not only feel the "pulse" of digitization in the industry, but also actively shape it - in addition to our customer projects - via InsurLab.
What distinguishes zeb as a consulting company?
Frank Bunselmeyer: When it comes to making companies in the financial services industry competitive and fit for the future, we combine our finance-specific academic training with our comprehensive industry knowledge and many years of consulting experience in the financial services sector. This special foundation makes zeb unique in the consulting market.
What exactly do you offer your customers?
Michael Kötting: As "partners for change," we support our customers in all relevant areas of (digital) transformation - from strategic planning to implementation. In doing so, we work in partnership with our customers. We focus precisely on the strategic goals that financial intermediaries need to achieve for their sustainable success in the market, and are always guided by our customers as well as the bottom line. For us, technology is a means to an end, to develop the best solution, but never an end in itself. We know which technical solutions really help our customers with their specific challenges and prove this with numerous use cases and references.
Where do you see the insurance industry in 2030?
Frank Bunselmeyer: We see various technological and consumer megatrends that will help shape the agenda of the insurance industry in the coming years. Mobility concepts are changing, for example, and suitable insurance solutions will have to be offered. Networked devices will increasingly be used in smart homes, for example, and generate more and more data that can be used by the industry. In addition, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence are increasingly making their way into the value chain and placing high demands on data management. These examples alone show the enormous potential for the insurance industry in this decade. But they also show the great need for further digital transformation. As the saying goes, after innovation technology is before innovation technology.
