Putting Strategy into Action in the Age of AI: Pragmatism and Focus During Phases of Transformation
The F1 Meet-up is our exclusive forum for exchange among first-line executives—those immediately below the executive board—at our member companies. Following a practical keynote presentation, the focus shifts to group discussion. In the stylish setting at our member company Eraneos, we offer a safe space for strategic dialogue, new ideas, and personal networking among peers.
This time, the focus is on how strategy can be effectively implemented during dynamic periods of transformation: How can leaders remain capable of taking action under pressure, provide direction, and align teams toward a common goal? And what can leaders in the age of AI learn from professional soccer about focus, pragmatism, and the ability to adapt to change?
Together with the soccer coach Friedhelm Funkel Let’s take a closer look at leadership, transformation, and managing change. His experiences in professional soccer serve as a starting point for applying these lessons to business transformation scenarios: How do you put strategy into action on the field, even under pressure? How do you remain pragmatic without becoming arbitrary? And how do you maintain focus when change becomes the new normal?
