Topic Day Digital identity & data economy: The key to tomorrow's insurance

The EUDI Wallet, open data spaces and the forthcoming FiDA regulation will create a binding framework for accessing, using and sharing financial and insurance data in Europe. Digital identities, authorizations and standards are thus becoming key prerequisites for new processes, services and business models in the insurance industry.

The Topic Day focuses precisely on this interface:Digital identity as infrastructure, data as a basis for decision-making and data as a potential product. The focus will be on regulatory requirements, technical prerequisites and strategic implications for insurers - beyond pilot projects and individual cases. The aim of the day is to develop a common understanding of the structural changes that digital identities and data-based value creation entail for insurers and which fields of action can be derived from this for strategy, organization and technology.

Target group

- Board members and divisional managers with responsibility for strategy, IT, transformation or data
- Managers and experts at the interface of business, IT, architecture, data management and law
- Responsible for data strategies, interfaces, standards and ecosystems
- Technology and implementation partner with a strategic role in the insurance environment

What's in it for me?

- A resilient understanding of terms and order, how digital identity, data access, authorizations and data use are connected.
- Clarity about which issues insurers need to address today and which topics will only realistically become relevant in the medium term.
- Classification of the effects on existing structures, in particular processes, IT architecture, data management and governance.
- Concrete starting points for your own organization, e.g. for the further development of data strategies, interfaces, role models or decision logic.
- Comparative perspectives, how other insurers, start-ups and other insurance-related institutions approach similar issues.

- Dietmar Schmidt (mexxon)
- Dr. Matthias Schulenberg (Bundesanzeiger Verlag)
