Welcome to InsurLab Germany: Could you please briefly introduce muffintech to our community?

Simon Moser (Co-Founder & CEO of muffintech)

Simon Moser (Co-Founder & CEO)

muffintech is a specialized conversational AI solution designed to support insurance sales—developed by a team with deep industry experience.  Our technology is based on pre-trained expert knowledge (§34d) and a modular architecture that outperforms traditional RAG or prompting approaches. Thanks to guided workflows, users can quickly achieve concrete results—without any prompting expertise.
The result: high accuracy, minimal errors, and full data control for our customers.

How did you come to join InsurLab and why did you decide to become a member?

At muffintech, we are pioneers in the field of conversational AI for the insurance industry—so joining InsurLab was almost a natural step. We were particularly impressed by how InsurLab combines innovation, networking, and practical relevance. As a member, we not only want to benefit from this strong network, but also actively inspire other members and help shape the industry’s digital future.

What topics and content are important to you? How do you feel about our 2025 focus topics „Operational excellence and business process management“ and „AI scaling and application“?

Raphael Zeller (Head of Business Development & Global Growth)

The scaling and application of AI is our central focus—but in our view, technology alone is not enough. For AI to truly make an impact, business units must be actively involved and internal champions must be developed. Only then will AI become part of everyday life. That is why operational excellence and business process management are also essential levers for us in the successful implementation of smart solutions like ours.

Which of our activities are you planning to get involved in? What impetus would you like to bring to the InsurLab network - and what do you hope to get in return?

We are very much looking forward to sharing our expertise in master classes, topic days, and workshops—especially when it comes to specific use cases and industry-specific challenges. We’re also looking forward to the next C-Level Fireside Chat and hope to further deepen the discussions we started at insureNXT. In return, we’re excited about new perspectives, collaborative learning, and strong partnerships within the network.

Simon and Raphael, thank you so much for the interview! We look forward to working with you.
