The start-up Pathmate has developed "Manoa", a digital coach that supports people in dealing with high blood pressure and motivates them to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease. The data-driven coaching is based on the findings of behavioral psychology and state-of-the-art technologies and is individually tailored to the needs, health status and preferences of the user. This allows Manoa to respond competently and empathetically to the user's personal situation, motivate them in the best possible way and provide personalized recommendations. Manoa is constantly evolving, getting to know its users better and better and can therefore adapt its support even more precisely to their needs.
The success of this approach is reflected in the very positive feedback from users (e.g. a rating of over 4.7 in the App Store with more than 1500 ratings). As a medical product, the app also meets the highest safety and quality standards.
Strong interest from the insurance industry
As part of the InsurLab Accelerator Batch#21, a collaboration between Pathmate (Growth category) and the INTER Health Insurance has come about. In the future, INTER Krankenversicherung will integrate the Manoa health app into campaigns and recommend it to its policyholders for the prevention and self-management of high blood pressure in everyday life.
Pathmate was also able to Barmenia and the Gothaer Health Insurance from a collaboration. The two major insurers have been relying on the Manoa health app since fall 2021 via the joint venture LM+ Leistungsmanagement GmbH.
