Generation Z represents a future-oriented market for the insurance industry, as it is digitally savvy and sustainability-oriented, but at the same time has pronounced demands for security and flexibility. But how do insurers reach young target groups in general and how (and where) can Gen Z in particular be best addressed?

Udo Wilcsek, board member of our member company ALH Group and member of our InsurLab Germany board, answers these questions in an interview with the Digital Insurance Podcast (an insureNXT special as part of our collaboration in the #InnovateInsurance series). Some tips from Udo:

  • Presence in social media: Gen Z is very active there, so be present and share relevant content.
  • Information and advice for parents: Parents influence decisions for and against insurance, so it is also important to address them specifically.
  • Target group differentiation: Gen Z is not homogeneous 11- to 18-year-olds need to be addressed differently than 18- to 26-year-olds.
  • Flexibility: Needs change, so be flexible and adapt to Genz Z.
